Gathering. Sharing. Engaging. Together.
What if we took an evening to gather -- with neighbors, friends, and strangers -- across our city... to (re)introduce ourselves, share what we’ve been through in the past year, express what’s on our mind, and offer our bright hopes for the future.
Discover What’s Possible with a New Conversation.
In connecting deliberately we see each other more fully. In sharing our aspirations, we dream a collective dream. And from common connections and shared aspirations, we move towards acting together on the things we care about. Connection generates empathy, empathy drives action. Action creates change.
Let’s join together as one city to talk.
Will you join us to build a better community in Greensboro? You may be surprised by what flows from new friendships, shared understanding, and common commitments.
If you are hosting a home event, you can choose who to invite (family, friends, neighbors, people you have met and want to get to know better) and where to host (living room, backyard, a park).
The session will focus on two questions:
How has the last year been for you?
What do you hope for the future?
At the end of the session, all participants will be invited to write and submit a public Dear Greensboro letter. These letters would be addressed to the city at large. It is a chance to share your voice, message, hopes, challenges, appreciation… you decide. The letters can be anonymous or signed.
